*FEATURED ARTISTS

Jeff Becker with ArtSpot Productions and Mondo Bizarro: “Flight”
A multimedia performance installation centering on humankind’s ongoing desire to fly, coupled with its unpredictable consequences. This piece utilizes (among other things) massive performer-activated machines conceived and built by sculptor and set designer Jeff Becker. Come catch an exciting glimpse into this extraordinary work-in-progress. (“Flight” is scheduled to make its official New Orleans premiere May 15, 2008.)

Pat Bourgeois: “How My Mother Ruined My Life”
Ladies, this is a must-see! Relationship guru and national best-selling author Grace Millicent (better known as “Amazing Grace” to her fans and devotees) will appear at Dramarama15 to deliver her famous life-changing seminar exploring how your mother (yes, that’s right!) is really the one to blame for all of your failed relationships. As a special treat, Grace will also meet fans in our lobby to sign her new book, Only Bitches Get the Good Men.

Cripple Creek Theatre Company: “Last Night of the Louisiana Fighting Aces”
OK. By now we have read the libretto, listened to the score, and have attended most of the early rehearsals. So, mark our words, “Last Night of the Louisiana Fighting Aces” is easily the greatest cockfighting musical of the past twenty years. Trust us!

Happensdance: “Auerbach Sonata”
An extremely physically demanding dance duet set to Lera Auerbach’s sonata for cello and piano. Dancers Erin Healan and Anna Morris will perform this work against live music played by cellist Jeanne Jaubert (who is also the choreographer of the piece) and pianist Yui Asano. Jaubert will also perform a solo dance improvisation.
